McAfee has appointed Oracle's former VP of EMEA sales development Philippe Adam as its new president of EMEA marketing.

Adam, who will be based in McAfee's Paris office, will be responsible for all marketing activities with particular focus on demand generation and awareness.
David Quantrell, president, EMEA of McAfee, said, "As we move into 2010, Philippe will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our great brand and our outstanding propositions are clearly communicated to customers, prospects and partners across the region."
Adam said, "Having witnessed the incredible evolution of the security industry over the last few years, the importance of what McAfee has to offer is clear. I'm thrilled to be getting behind McAfee's no-nonsense approach to security."
Facebook recently signed a partnership with McAfee to offer its users a complimentary six-month subscription to McAfee security software.
