CAMPAIGN NEWS: Small Business Week kicks off at BT Tower

Small Business Week launches on 19 October with an event at the BT Tower in London hosted by Dragons Den judge Peter Jones and Lord Digby Jones, former director general of the CBI.
The week is designed to explore how small businesses in the UK can succeed. The first two days will run in conjunction with the Business Experience exhibition hosted by BT. The telecoms company is using this event to promote itself to small businesses, BT is also giving them the opportunity to try the latest technology and seek advice from the British Chambers of Commerce and Business Link, amongst others.
BT is using the event to promote itself to small businesses This year sees a hands on approach as many small businesses have set the agenda for the week by contributing to the 2009 Business Pulse, a survey commissioned by BT Business and supported by the Prince's Trust.
Bill Murphy, MD, BT Business says, "Many businesses are having a tough ride at the moment but in lean times it's easier for many of them to see exactly where they need help."
All BT local businesses have made its customers aware of the event via email. There is also a PR campaign designed to raise the profile of the week. Events will be taking place across the country and can be found at http://www.smallbusinessweek2009.co.uk/.
