The shortlist for the B2B Marketing Awards 2006 has been announced, featuring a diverse range of top-tier B2B companies. Those business brands who have successfully made it this far include Corus, Initial, Kimberly Clark Professional, Michelin, Hitachi, Grant Thornton, Morgan Lovell, Norwich Union, Siemens and Sony. In total, 43 brands have been shortlisted. The full shortlist is available at www.b2bm. biz/news.
Brands that were successful at last year's awards, which have made it to the shortlist for the second year running, are: Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank, Bank of Scotland Corporate, HP and Sage.
Twenty seven agencies have also made it to this year's shortlist, either for campaigns or in the Agency of the Year, category. Those who previously had not made it this far include Banner Corp, Planet Marketing & Design, Publicis Dialog and Volume.
James Farmer, publisher of B2B Marketing, which are organising the awards in association with Information Arts, comments, “There are some fantastic campaigns on this shortlist, reflecting the breadth and depth of the B2B marketing sector. The judges reported that competition in some categories was intense, and campaigns that reached the shortlist had to be something special. However, in other categories both the quality and quantity was lower, and winners generally stood out.”
Winners will be announced and trophies presented at the B2B Marketing Awards gala dinner, to be held at Vinopolis near London Bridge on 1 November, hosted by journalist, broadcaster, former MP and raconteur Matthew Parris. Tickets are now on sale: call Cara Barber on 01494 535 019 for more information.
Grass Roots and Market Location have been confirmed as the latest sponsors of the event, joining Experian, AGA, Planet, Concep, Birddog and Gyro International.
