TECHNOLOGY NEWS: Adventis move into technology sector with new acquisition

Published: 02-02-2010

Marketing services and media buyer agency Adventis Group has acquired technology and telecoms channel sales and marketing consultancy bChannels in order to increase its market share in specific sectors.

Adventis' strategy is to focus its services on specialised sectors including healthcare, technology and telecoms. It says telecoms is an area for major future growth and together with the latest acquisition and its marketing agency Second2, it expects to see significant profits.

The founders of bChannel will be staying with the company following the sale. Adventis recognise it will need to demonstrate ‘very specialised knowledge' and all three founders have experience across the technology and telecoms industry.

Charles Phillpot, CEO of Adventis says, "The Board believes these [technology and healthcare] are the most robust sectors with the highest growth potential.  bChannels almost perfectly  compliments our existing presence in the tech market and also gives us a foothold in the US, crucial for access to tech clients

bChannels clients include Xerox, Samsung and Symantec, it's core service is the development of indirect channel programmes for technology clients. bChannels' pre-tax profits for 2009 were £0.43 million.
